Creative Postcard Art Techniques

6 X 4 Postcard – Front Image

Back Image

I am sending to my sister.

I am totally in Love with the Baby wipe Technique and paint. I used Tim Holtz Paint: Wilted Violet and Vintage Photo to cover an old postcard that I made last year.

I used Hero Art “Postcard” wooden Stamp and Paper Artsy Lavender Edition EAB47 to stamp the back in Versa Fine Claire Pine Cone Ink. It looks dark in the photo, I wrote on with a White Gel pen, and it worked well.

Front – I used the Baby Wipe Technique with Tim Holtz Distress Paint in Peeled Paint, Old Paper, Antique Linen. Technique: https://youtu.be/gT5vn5QqNVo

I stamped the Lavender Image and Seal from EAB47 Lavender Edition in Versa Fine Clair Ink. I used Inkadinkado stamping Mask paper to cover the seal. I did not want the images to cover the seal.

I used the Tim Holtz Distress Paint Wilted Violet and Antique Linen on the flowers. I painted dots with the Wilted Violet, then with a combination of the two and then again with a lighter version, to show light and depth

Make sure to cover all of the stamped images.

I then removed the stamping mask and added other background images. I darked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Scorched Pine. I also added splatter with several of the paints that I used- thinned down with water. Is it too dark? I love grunge
